District 12 is committed to build leadership capacity. We also encourage all principals to have a succession plan in place. We recommend that schools enroll potential leaders in the Leaders in Education Apprenticeship Program or the NYC Leadership Academy and many other programs that exist in our city. We mentor aspiring leaders completing their SBL/SDL internship hours. We also work with potential leaders to start new schools through the Division of Portfolio Planning.
